AJ McCausland Band
Funky Blues Rock
Singer, songwriter and guitarist AJ McCausland has performed extensively in Wichita and the Midwest over the course of two decades. In that time his sound has morphed from a folky acoustic jam band into an electrified blues rock firestorm of funky grooves and riffs. The songwriting is emboldened by catchy lyrics and a guitar styling that harkens back to Stevie Ray Vaughan seasoned with a little Southern Louisiana voodoo swamp water. AJ’s songwriting inspiration spans a broad range from guitar icon JImi Hendrix, blues legend Muddy Waters, the aforementioned Stevie Ray Vaughan as well as modern artists Karl Denson, G Love, The Black Crowes and Tab Benoit.
The AJ McCausland Band is Brendan O'Bryhim on saxophone, Blake Ester on bass and Ted Myers on drums.
